Colorado Springs, CO; Seattle, WA – Volt Athletics® (Volt), the global leader in technology solutions for sport performance training, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association® (NSCA), the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, today announced Volt will sponsor the RSCC Ring Program at the 39th Annual NSCA National Conference.
The NSCA’s Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) Program is a registry of individuals who have demonstrated experience and knowledge in their field. RSCC Coaches have a minimum of two years of experience in their field and apply foundational knowledge to assess, motivate, educate, and train athletes for the primary goal of improving sport performance. The RSCC Ring Program specifically recognizes those coaches that have achieved the status of Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach Emeritus (RSCC*E) by accumulating 20 years or more in their field.
Since 2015, the NSCA and Volt have partnered in support of a shared desire to pass on research-based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness. Volt’s sponsorship of the RSCC Ring Program is an extension of this partnership because it celebrates the dedication and high professional standards of the award recipients.
Additionally, Volt’s sponsorship provides an exclusive opportunity for the 2016 award recipients to combine their unique expertise in sport performance training with Volt’s patent-pending intelligent training app.
“We’re extremely pleased that our friends at Volt Athletics have joined the NSCA to honor RSCC coaches by sponsoring the Ring Program,” says NSCA Executive Director Michael Massik. “RSCC is one of the highest distinctions that coaches can achieve as strength and conditioning professionals. Because Volt’s philosophies are aligned with the NSCA’s principles and mission, this sponsorship is a perfect fit for the organization.”
Powered by proprietary technology, Volt allows athletes and coaches access to professionally-built strength and conditioning programs worldwide. This unique approach combines decades of practical application with the next generation of technology, enabling more athletes to train at a higher level than ever before.
Volt will work with the 2016 RSCC Ring recipients to build their preferred training methods and strategies into Volt’s intelligent training engine, allowing their reach to extend globally. The training programs will be available via any device through the Volt iOS app, Android app, or mobile-friendly website and will include specific instructions, sets, reps, and prescribed weights, as well as technique demonstrations. Additionally, the training platform will provide dynamic warm-ups, targeted injury prevention routines, and detailed metrics to track each athlete’s progress.
“The RSCC Program ensures athletes have access to qualified coaches that have been trained to properly develop athletes,” says Volt Co-Founder and CEO Dan Giuliani, CSCS, RSCC. “We are proud to play a role in honoring these distinguished coaches. Working with these coaches and the NSCA, we are able to leverage Volt’s technology to make NSCA standards and research available and accessible to coaches and athletes worldwide.”
Volt’s strategic relationship with the NSCA includes providing unique training content for athletes at the NSCA Performance Center in Colorado Springs, as well as co-branded primer and finisher routines for athletes, trainers, and coaches on the NSCA’s online Tools and Resources educational webpage. In addition, the NSCA provides guidance and feedback on Volt’s training programs to ensure the highest quality content powers Volt’s intelligent training app.
