Marc Clifford is a graduate student in the Exercise Science program with an emphasis in Tactical Athlete Physiology at Tarleton State University, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA. He previously earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Human Performance from Texas A&M Central Texas. Clifford serves as an instructor at the Killeen Fire Academy, teaching a range of courses including firefighter certification, EMT training, and advanced life support. A licensed paramedic and Master Firefighter, he has a professional background spanning nearly two decades in emergency services and tactical performance. His research focuses on the physiological demands of tactical athletes, with particular interest in return-to-work protocols, cardiovascular risk, sleep, and nutrition. He is an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
