COLORADO SPRINGS, USA / HAMBURG, GERMANY — The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and HYROX Academy have announced a global partnership dedicated to advancing coaching excellence in the growing sport of hybrid fitness racing.
Known as the World Series of Fitness Racing, HYROX is a standardized hybrid fitness racing format that alternates between 1 km runs and workout stations eight times, culminating in World Championships each race season. More than 80 global races were held in 2025, and the 2025 HYROX Sports Science Report projects 1.3–1.5 million participants across the 2025–2026 season, reinforcing the sport’s international momentum.
As the official education division of HYROX, HYROX Academy supports structured coaching development aligned with the demands of hybrid fitness racing. Through this partnership, the NSCA and HYROX Academy will help ensure that the evolution of hybrid fitness racing is guided by evidence-based coaching and the highest standards of professional preparation.
