Chicago, IL - Eleiko, the world leader in professional equipment for strength and conditioning, weightlifting, and powerlifting, is pleased to announce we are strengthening our relationship with The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) by becoming an official sponsor and performance center supplier and through the development of The Eleiko Equipment Grant through the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation (NSCAF) to supply youth weightlifting clubs with Eleiko equipment. With this partnership, we not only support NSCA trainers and athletes with the finest weightlifting equipment to optimize human performance, but are able to support the weightlifting community, developmental lifting and grow our sport.
The NSCA’s 6000 square foot state of the art performance center in Colorado Springs features a collection of Eleiko Sport Training Barbells and Discs, along with Eleiko Pro Dumbbells. The Eleiko range of bars, discs and dumbbells gives NSCA trainers and clients the ability to train with the highest quality equipment, helping them better reach their goal of enhanced strength, power, and speed. Eleiko’s equipment supports the NSCAs mission of improving performance through scientifically based programs, which oftentimes rely on Olympic lifting to improve performance, strength and conditioning.
“This partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to optimal human performance – the NSCA though its education and training, and Eleiko through its decades of equipment design and innovation,” said Michael Massik, NSCA Executive Director. “We are thrilled to equip our Colorado Springs facility with Eleiko and are confident we are giving our athletes access to best programs and equipment to improve performance, strength and conditioning.”
Eleiko is also committed to supporting developmental lifting and growing the sport of weightlifting. We believe strength is a key component to living a healthy and happy life, that the lessons learned in the gym build strength and confidence on and off the platform. The Eleiko Equipment Grant was established to give schools with limited resources and promising weightlifting clubs access to the best equipment in the world. Eligible weightlifting clubs will apply providing details about their program, coaching, facility, funding and demographics for review by the NSCA Foundation Grant Review Committee. All applicants must be NSCA Members* and the applications will be accepted starting November 1, 2017 with a March 15, 2018 deadline. Details will be available at www.nsca.com/foundation.
“At Eleiko, building a stronger world is an integral part of our core mission. Supporting youth weightlifting and building strong communities is vital to that goal,” said Rickard Blomberg President, Eleiko Sport Inc. “Working with the NSCA Foundation to offer the Eleiko Equipment Grant was a natural way for us to support a community we are passionate about.”
