All Year. by Preston Pederson, MEd, CSCS Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what a unified strength & speed program looks like inside the school day and how a full training week is structured to serve multiple sports, ages, and ability levels. The session will highlight practical scheduling, staffing, and programming systems that improve consistency, buy-in, and sustainability. Coaches will leave with transferable ideas they can apply in their own school settings, regardless of size or resources. |

9:30 AM - 10:20 AM Interdisciplinary Sport Science: A Mentorship Model Using Wearable Technology in Division III Football by Katelin Valster, PhD, CSCS This session highlights a feasible sport science internship model designed to immerse undergraduate students in applied data collection and analysis using wearable technology with NCAA Division III football athletes. The session demonstrates how students are mentored through the interpretation of athlete workload trends and how these insights are communicated to various stakeholders. Emphasis is placed on scalable, resource-conscious approaches suitable for primarily undergraduate institutions. |

2:00 PM - 2:50 PM The Power Complex: Exploring a Practical Alternative to Traditional Olympic Lifts for Enhancing Explosive Performance by Justin Lima, PhD, CSCS, RSCC*D This session will examine the effects of the power complex—pairing partial Olympic derivatives with complementary plyometric movements—on vertical jump performance compared to traditional hang power cleans. Drawing on experimental data and applied experience, attendees will learn how to structure the power complex to elicit similar neuromuscular adaptations while reducing technical barriers and improving training efficiency. Practical programming examples and athlete data will illustrate how coaches can integrate the power complex into team and individual strength and conditioning programs. |
