We will discuss fallacies and misconceptions as well as review successful systems where microdosing was prevalent as well as highlighting current trends. |
9:00 AM - 9:50 AM From Periodization to Microdosing by Mike Stone, PhD, CSCS,*D, FNSCA In this session we will discuss how microdosing strength training sessions have been used to develop high levels of strength in power sports, examining programming used in Olympic Weightlifting, powerlifting, and football training cycles. |

11:00 AM - 11:50 AM Microdosing the Collegiate Athlete by Cal Dietz, MEd, CSCS In this session, Coach Dietz will discuss how he has implemented microdosing of training sessions in his training of Division I athletes at the University of Minnesota, as well as discuss some recent innovations he has incorporated into the training of his athletes. |

1:00 PM - 1:50 PM Strength for Life: Short Workouts to Enhance Daily Living for Adults by LeAnn Romanazzi, MEd This session focuses on practical approaches to improving physical strength and functional fitness for adults. The speaker will share her experiences working with adults to strengthen their bodies for activities of daily living, using accessible methods and tools. LeAnn will have participants go through bodyweight exercises and basic modalities that enhance functional strength as well as discuss the concept of microdosing workouts —incorporating short, manageable sessions into daily routines to boost physical fitness. |
2:00 PM - 2:50 PM The Importance of Scientific Thinking in Strength and Conditioning by Andrew Langford, PhD In this presentation we will be looking at how we can better work together as coaches and academics, taking a closer look at the values of science and how we can apply them in practice. By drawing on the wisdom of experienced coaches and researchers, we will look at what this gap is and how we can help bridge it through increased collaboration. |
3:00 PM - 3:50 PM Optimizing Athlete Performance Through Proper Nutrition by Joey Boyens, MS This session will focus on nutrient timing around training sessions and fueling strategies for multiple training sessions a day. |
4:00 PM - 4:50 PM Facts and Fallacies of Force Plate Testing: What They Can and Can’t Do, and What You Should Not Do by Jason Lake, PhD We will examine protocols designed for testing athlete performance and identifying movement deficiencies and athlete asymmetries and discuss real life implications and practical applications for tactical athlete program design for career longevity. |
