Benefits and Techniques of Performing the Olympic Lifts with Dumbbells
by Allen Hedrick, MA, CSCS,*D, RSCC*E, FNSCA

In this session we will discuss the unique benefits dumbbells provide in the training programs of athletes. Following that we will describe how dumbbells can be programmed into the workout plan for athletes in a variety of sports for all ages and abilities. Finally we will demonstrate, and participants will have the opportunity to join in, as we progress through a variety of Olympic lifts performed with dumbbells.

1. Introduce a system of principles for the development of a comprehensive year-round physical preparation plan.

4. Discuss limitations and potential improvements.

The Psychology of Injury
by Jessyca Arthur-Cameselle, EdD

At the end of the presentation, attendees will understand:
- the psychological factors that put athletes and exercisers at risk for injury and re-injury
- common psychological reactions to injury, including maladaptive behaviors that can be triggered by injury
- the effects that psychological interventions can have on recovery and treatment for injury

    As a registered attendee, will I receive a recording of the virtual event? 
    Yes. You will receive a recording within 1 week after the event to review anything you may have missed. You will have access for one year. 

    If I miss some of the virtual event will this affect my CEUs?
    No. You will receive a recording after the event to review anything you may have missed, therefore receiving the full Category A CEUs. 

    Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance? 
    Yes. A certificate will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks after the event.

    How do I report my CEUs?
    The NSCA will automatically apply the CEUs to your NSCA Account. If you need to report CEUs elsewhere, you may use the Certificate of Attendance.

    Can anyone register for this event? 
    Yes. Anyone who is interested in an NSCA Event can register. 

    Do I need a Membership to register?
    No. You only need an NSCA Account to register. If you do not have one, you can create one for free.
