Starting in 2030, candidates for the CSCS exam must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a strength and conditioning-related field from a CASCE-accredited program. This requirement will not affect international candidates who earned degrees outside of the U.S. until January 2036. The current CSCS degree requirement will remain in effect through December 31, 2029.

Applications for CASCE accreditation are accepted from October 1 through December 1 annually. To encourage early adoption, CASCE provides financial support through the CASCE Accreditation Grant, covering accreditation and annual fees for approved programs through December 31, 2029. New programs can apply for this grant until December 1, 2027. For more details, visit NSCA.com/CASCE/Grant.
