Craig Hermans is a Professional Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at Tarleton State University. He brings over 30 years of experience in strength and conditioning, including 12 years in tactical settings with military and law enforcement and 15 years in higher education. His research focuses on the physiological effects of stress on first responders, performance under pressure, and the long-term impact of tactical conditioning on health and readiness. Hermans has worked extensively with athletes, first responders, and tactical professionals, designing evidence-based programs to enhance performance and reduce injury risk. At Tarleton State University, he teaches courses such as tactical strength and conditioning and contributes to research on stress adaptation, recovery, and performance optimization.
