Kate Smith joined the University of Michigan Strength and Conditioning team as a Graduate Assistant in August 2011 and currently serves as a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach (Olympic Sports). She oversees performance programs for field hockey, men's tennis, and women's soccer, and previously coached men's and women's track and field, cross country, and swimming and diving. Within the profession, Smith has served on the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Foundation Coaching Advancement Grants and Assistantship Board, presented at professional conferences, and developed educational content. Her prior experience includes Syracuse University Strength and Conditioning, EXOS, and Etcheberry Sports Performance.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
