W. Jeffrey Armstrong is a Professor in the Division of Health and Exercise Science at Western Oregon University and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the West Linn High School wrestling team. He has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, PhD from the University of Toledo, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has taught exercise science courses including anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, advanced programming for sport and fitness, exercise motivation and adherence, and pathophysiology and exercise. In addition to coaching strength and conditioning for high school wrestlers, he has worked as a personal trainer, and is the former owner of an Athletic Republic Sports Performance Training Center.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
