Juan Gonzalez is an Associate Professor within the Department of Health and Human Performance and the College of Health Professions at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is an Applied Exercise Physiologist and uses redlight therapy in conjunction with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) strength and conditioning programs for Division I female volleyball players. Gonzalez is also very active in the running community with the uses of red and infrared light therapy. His line of research currently is on the effects of red and infrared light therapy in Division I female athletes. He is also a member of the Association of Pulse Magnetic Fields Professionals (AOPP) and is certified in the use of redlight therapy.
