Nicholas Mortensen is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Exercise Science at Siena Heights University. He is also an adjunct professor at Madonna University and Aurora University, teaching and developing various exercise and nutrition science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on strength and conditioning protocols across numerous disciplines and abilities. Mortensen has a PhD in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago, MS in Exercise and Nutrition Science from Lipscomb University, and BS in Clinical Exercise Science from Central Michigan University. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2008 and holds certifications as a Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC) through Athletes Acceleration and Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW).
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
