Elizabeth Leal-Alfaro is a doctoral student in Health, Leisure, and Human Performance in the School of Kinesiology, Applied Health, and Recreation at Oklahoma State University. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Science. As a member of the Oklahoma States University Tactical Fitness and Nutrition Lab, she has been involved with research for tactical athletes/first responders. Additionally, Leal-Alfaro has a primary focus on combative athletes across combat sports.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
