Nicholas Rolnick, also known as the Human Performance Mechanic, is a physical therapist and personal trainer located in New York City, NY. His physical therapy practice specializes in low back and neck pain utilizing an active approach to help people get back to the activities they love as quickly as possible. Rolnick has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles on blood flow restriction training and is considered a worldwide leader on the topic. He owns The BFR PROS, an unbiased evidence-based blood flow restriction training education business, where he teaches rehabilitation providers nationally and internationally. Rolnick is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at City University of New York (CUNY) Lehman College, where he teaches in the Department of Exercise Science and Recreation.
