Tony Moreno PhD CSCS*D is a professor of Exercise Science at Eastern Michigan University, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University. With interests in skill acquisition and injury resilience, he has authored coaching education and athlete development materials for the Michigan HS Athletic Association Coaches Advancement Program, USA Lacrosse, USA Ultimate, the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE America), and for the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Prior to his academic appointments, he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Long Beach State and an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Cal State Fullerton. As an entrepreneur and public servant, he has owned and operated a fitness facility in Mammoth Lakes, CA, and in 2021 he was appointed to serve on the Michigan Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, with reappointment in 2023.
