Robert Lockie is an Associate Professor of strength andconditioning at California State University, Fullerton. He obtainedhis undergraduate and honors degrees in Human Movement fromthe University of Technology, Sydney in Australia. Lockie alsocompleted his PhD at the University of Technology, Sydney, withinresearch that analyzed the sprint technique and strength and powercapacities of field sport athletes. He has previously worked at theUniversity of Newcastle in Australia as a lecturer in biomechanics,and an Assistant Professor of biomechanics and strength andconditioning at California State University, Northridge. Lockieconducts research into linear speed, change-of-direction speed,and agility; strength and conditioning; team sport analysis; andanalysis of first responder, correctional, and military populations.
